כאמור, רשת CNN דיווחה כי כל קווי הרכבת התחתית הושהו בשל גשמים כבדים וישנן התרעות מפני טורנדו. בעיריית ניו יורק ציינו כי יש צפי לעיכובי תנועה משמעותיים ואמרו כי כבישים ייסגרו: "הימנעו מנסיעות שלא לצורך".
